About Us

The eDiscovery Resource Center is managed by Bill Tolson, a veteran of the computer storage, email archiving, and eDiscovery consulting industries. Bill has worked for several of the leading computer storage manufacturers including Hewlett Packard, Iomega, StorageTek and HDS. While working at these storage companies, Bill was involved in the creation and management of archiving solutions for regulatory compliance and eDiscovery. Over the years he has become knowledgeable in the areas of eDiscovery policies and procedures, data retention policy development, Federal regulatory requirements and archiving technology. Bill also spent several years in the data retention/eDiscovery consulting industry helping Fortune 1000 companies develop and implement data retention policies for eDiscovery and regulatory compliance. Bill has been at featured speaker at numerous webinars, seminars and industry events including the Government Technology Conference and Legal Tech. Bill has published many archiving technology and eDiscovery articles.

The eDiscovery Resource Center (EDRC) was created to be a one-stop resource to provide news, educational resources and answers to your questions about eDiscovery and electronic records retention. Our goal is to ensure that eDiscovery Resource Center contains the most current and comprehensive information available on legal issues affecting electronic records management, email retention and eDiscovery, presented in a plain, unbiased way.
